magic spaghetti with sausages

Looking for something to do with kids or just something easy to cook for dinner? How about an experiment on the normal spaghetti and making it into a more fun and collaborative activity for everyone. Its a concept I saw in a design group that I follow. :) Finally, i was able to try it yesterday.

Ingredients:

  • Spaghetti sauce
  • Sausage
  • Spaghetti [sticks]
  • Salt
  • Oil
  • Water
  • Ground beef
  • Chopped onion and garlic
  • Cheese
1. Cut the sausages into small pieces.

2. Make our cool spaghetti sticks. Punch the spaghetti sticks into the sausages.

3. Boil some water just enough to submerge all the spaghetti noodles we have prepared.

4. Add a pinch of salt and some oil on the water. The oil will make the spaghetti not stick to one another.
5. Place the Spaghetti sticks with sausages on them. Close the lid and for 10 minutes or until the spaghetti has turned into light yellow and soft enough to cut.

6. Pour the spaghetti into a drainer.

7. Make the spaghetti sauce. PLace the chopped onions and garlic onto the oil seared pan. Add the ground beef and wait until it turns brownish red. This will take about 3 minutes.

8. Add the preferred spaghetti sauce onto the ground beef. Mix them together for 2 minutes. (Add some water or tomato ketchup if desired.)

9. Pour the spaghetti sauce over the cooked spaghetti and sausage.

10. VOILA! Its done. Present it over a nice plate and enjoy the faces of the people when they wonder how you managed to "insert" the spaghetti into the sausages without breaking them. :D
