LULU Review - Joya Tower Powerplant

Lulu is a very modern restaurant conveniently located at the ground floor of Joya Tower, Joya Drive, Rockwell. It has a paid roofed parking available for PHP 30+, so car drivers won't have to worry about bringing a date. You have to be careful though as leaves/trees may cover the signage. But once you see Joya Tower just head to the left upon disembarking at the parking area.

Lulu serves continental cuisine. They cater to a very vast audience: meat/fish/veggies/fusion lovers will all have something to love here.

At first sight, I was amazed on the design of its interiors from the choice of chairs to the wall pieces. The owner sure had good taste. I adored the pieced painting on the wall. The layout and seat spacing was well positioned such that guests will not feel crowed. The ambiance and music was perfect for both intimate and causal meetings.

**Fun Idea: They have this instagram "help" that advices you to check out instragram to literally see what's yummy at Lulu by using the hashtag #LULUrockwell.

Mushroom Soup
I had the set menu for lunch - 4 parts. Started with a mushroom soup, it was a bit too salty for me - but definitely tasted the mushroom unlike the other pre-made tasting soups. This one tasted real mushrooms.

Salad with Vinaigrette
Next was a salad with vinaigrette dressing and slices of oranges and cheese. It was light and a great way to eat some greens.

Rib Eye Steak with Potato Fries <Pepper Gravy and Herb Butter>
Main entree is the rib eye steak. It was chewy but not too soft. It was well marinated and dashed with lots of pepper. It was delicious and can be eaten as is. But it did have some gravy and herb butter with it for an extra kick. I especially liked the gravy since it matched the taste of the steak, this one definitely emphasizes the pepper taste. While the herb butter just brings about a hint of sweetness to the steak. And if that doesn't make you full.. you have some fries on the sides. Yum!

Creme Brulee

Lastly, had some creme brulee to end it. Their creme brulee was custard flavored with some coconut. It was sweet and a good way to end a filling meal.

Overall I had a great time at Lulu's and will definitely be back to try their ultimate pork chops as recommended by Four Square.
