Returning to iHop: Rain of omelettes and pancakes

Went back to IHop soon after 5 days since my last visit, this time I went with my mentors to have a business breakfast meeting. It was a completely different experience since we ordered interesting dishes, servers no longer had their international coaches and there was no long queue. <Or so I thought, since upon leaving at 8:30 AM...people are starting to queue up at the front door again.>

This time around, I went for their hearty omelettes and pancakes, specifically the Bacon Temptation Omelette [PHP 285] and it comes with pancakes of my choice. I also had some lemonade to wash it down.

** For a more detailed entry refer to my first entry about Ihop. Ihop is located at Ground Level, W Global Center. 30th St. corner 9th Ave., Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, Metro Manila, Philippines. There are a lot of nearby parking spaces. They are open from 6:00am to 12:00am Sunday to Thursday and 24 hours Friday and Saturday.

Their complete set of syrups: the best is OLD FASHIONED.
Lovin their motto! They really do spread happiness by sharing good food.

Crowd at 7:00 AM, thursday morning. Not bad.
Love their overhead lamp. Very Fitting!

Food Review:

1. Bacon Temptation Omelette [PHP 285] + New York Cheesecake Pancakes + Lemonade [PHP 175]
2. Big Steak Omelette [PHP 325] + Chocolate Chocolate Chip Pancakes [PHP 50] + Unlimited Coffee [PHP125]
3. Big Steak Omelette [PHP 325] + Cinn-a-stack Pancakes [PHP 50] + Unlimited Coffee [PHP 125]

1. Overall: 4 out of 5. Loved the experience. A good way to start my day.

2. Food: 4 out of 5. Good serving size and taste. Pancakes were okay.

3. Service: 4 out of 5. Quite pleasant. Had to raise my hands several times. But cheerful people.

4. Value for Money: 4 out of 5. A bit pricey but is appropriate for the location. Food tastes good. Service is good. So it is still worth the money.

Unlimited Freshly Brewed Coffee! Lovely mug.
Coffee was freshly made - but from my expert coffee mentor, it didn't taste spectacular. Just your average good coffee.

Fresh Lemonade! - syrup
Lemonade has a little zing, but did not exactly perk up my taste buds. Might go for coffee instead the next time.

Big Steak Omelette [PHP 325] - The star! Its omelette with steak strips, hash brown, peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, cheese, and salsa. Comes with special pancake or hash brown for additional fee.
This is the absolute winner! I loved the flavors of this omelette. Truly enjoyed the juiciness of the steak and how it goes with the egg and salsa. I adore the salsa, It really compliments the dish. I recommend you eat this at your next visit.

How it looks on the inside. All that yummy textures together.
Bacon Temptation Omelette [PHP 285] - Egg Omelette with diced bacons, tomatoes, and lots of cheese. Comes with special pancake or hash brown for additional fee.
This dish was okay. It was average, since it was only made with bacons + tomatoes + became boring in the end. It was a bit salty and did not have that salsa to moisten the flavor. It is bacon and eggs with some tomatoes.

How it looks on the inside. More egg. Less Tomatoes. Bacon came in different forms.
All 3 sets of special pancakes!

New York Cheesecake [PHP 285] - pancakes topped with whipped cream, powdered sugar, and strawberries
This was the best pancake I have tasted in Ihop so far. I liked the combination of sugar/strawberry with their light buttermilk pancakes. It was light yet sweet at the same time.

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Pancake [PHP 255] - Chocolate pancakes with choco chips inside and finally topped with whip cream and sugar.
Did not really get to taste that chocolate fix. The chocolate taste was too faint that I will not realize it was chocolate if I did not see the chocolate chips inside.

Cinn-a-stack pancakes [PHP235] - Buttermilk pancakes with cinnamon filling then topped with cream cheese and whipped cream.
This pancake was also Ihop's bestsellers. Cinnamon was indeed in the pancake and it tasted great with the buttermilk batter. Adding cream cheese also added another interesting taste to the dish. It is definitely worth the try.
