CAV review - BGC, Taguig City

Last 9/20/2014, my significant other and I had a lunch out to commemorate our 83 month long relationship. We decided to go for CAV. It is conveniently located at 11th Avenue Fort Bonifacio Global City, Taguig. Its near the street so you cannot miss it. Since Its located at the Bonifacio Global City stretch, parking is no problem. CAV has sufficient number of space but to ensure your seat, calling their number 8561798 would not hurt. You can also check out their Facebook page for more information.

Amazing wine selection
Limited intimate setup, make sure to call for reservations
CAV is very well known for their wine, as they carry wines that range from P150-P1200 per glass. Sadly they do not conduct wine tasting appreciation classes unlike Planet Grapes (read my review here), but never the less...they have an amazing wine selection that wine enthusiasts go here. But since its lunch and we were starving, we decided to go for their food dishes. They have a very foreign menu that covers snacks, starters, mains, and good for sharing dishes. Price range is about P310 to P2800.
Main Menu
Dessert Menu (aka my to do list)
We went for their Mediterranean style roasted whole Sea Bass with Lemon Confit P990 (+tax and service charge). It is basically a whole fish that was roasted and seasoned with lemon + lots a garlic + something else I cannot describe. Its very unique and does not taste like the usual steamed/poached sea bass I eat. I even doubted if its sea bass at all. haha. But its refreshing to the tongue and imagination...shockingly, R and I survived with just this one dish! (eating 4 pcs of bread might have helped) We planned to order something else but this fish sustained us. We ate everything except the eyes and bones.
Sea Bass caught!
Asked our waiter to debone
These might have sustained us
So since we still have some budget, we decided to get some dessert. We tried their Pistachio Mousse P390 (+tax and service charge). Its chocolate ganache, strawberries, and topped by saffron anglaise. This little monster is so good that eating much of this is sin. Its only the 3/4 the size of an Iphone 5, with a thickness of 2 inches. Its very small but I think the size is just appropriate. It has a subtle hint of pistachio in its taste which I love, add to that the smoothness of the chocolate. Mmm.. perfect except for the price! It is worth the try and a great way to end a meal.
Ganache
Deliciously sinful
We will definitely come back to CAV once we have saved up again. Would like to try their desserts and Angus Rib Eye. Happy tripping.
Feeling the love!
